What is the last Republican-initiated public policy enacted in the United States that people love to this day? People love things that Democrats enacted, like Social Security and Medicare/Medicaid. What have Republicans done to make Americans excited?

I’m a little embarrassed by how often I “push my glasses up with my index finger” even when I’m not wearing them.

People sometimes ask me if I’m nervous about putting all my thoughts out on the internet all the time. Isn’t it just setting myself up for criticism and attack? Yes. But I believe what I say, so I’m not nervous about it at all.

I don’t know how many red state people need to die before red state voters realize they made a mistake.

In case you missed it: FEMA sucks because TRUMP defunded it, and RED STATES are suffering. Vote Democratic. They’re not perfect, but at least they care about other people. At all.

It’s disgusting to hear that evidently soulless people bid millions of dollars to try to steal a little piece of Jane Birkin’s soul. Nobody can inherit the genuineness of this face.

At the festivities in June, in San Jose, for Apple’s Worldwide Developer Conference, I came across a Sikh developer. “Sat sri akaal”, I offered. “I … really didn’t expect anybody to say that here,” he said. But he was clearly delighted. Sat sri akaal, everybody.

I was really nervous the first time I pulled it out with a Sikh walking down the street in Manhattan, but he lit up with joy when he understood what I’d said. Now I try to muster the courage to say it to any Sikh I encounter.

It’s been a few years since Simran Jeet Singh taught me that Sikhs often greet each other with the phrase “Sat Sri Akaal”, and that such a greeting from an outsider like me would likely be well received. I’ve enjoyed deploying this Sikh magic wherever I can.

The most confounding thing about this whole “Texas State Parks” kerfuffle (don’t ask) is that the State of Texas, in the midst of Trumpism gone wild, is actually ADDING two state parks.

In summary, while without any other insights, I would assume that social.lol and omg.lol are cool, inclusive, indie sites that everybody should support, I know that because the founder/owner is a serial abusive troll, I would never recommend anybody use them. I would further advise steering clear.

I have been mostly sitting by while Manton suffers this fool, for more than 6 months now. It has included allegations that Manton is anti-trans, a “big AI” shill, etc. It’s all just so hateful and such unfortunate venom to see being spewn from one ostensibly upstanding indie towards another.

My rant against Adam Newbold wasn’t justified with direct links, and now he has deleted posts. For example, he alluded to Manton being a fascist because of his goal of visiting “all 88 Texas state parks.” 88 is a number that fascists like, I guess. One of many harmful implications against Manton.
