In case anybody is wondering: I am a 49-year-old relatively proud American who has always been civically engaged while critical of our government. I had a US flag on my wall as a young teen. I believe in so much of what our country is supposed to stand for, but RIGHT NOW we are the most dangerous, least democratic nation on earth. Why? Because Trump & Musk are flaunting all guards, and nobody with power is stopping them. To sane civilians in other countries: most people in the US are with you.
