Just got an email from Stripe offering “instant payouts” (within 30 minutes) for a fee of 1% of the payout amount. Assuming the regular transfer would only ever take at most 3 days (accounting for the banking industry’s ridiculous weekend freeze), this 1% return to Stripe is equivalent to a 300% APR just for … getting access equivalent to a bank teller.
