Whenever April 1 comes around, I think about the fact that Gmail launched on April 1 (2004). It seemed so absurd, at the time, that a search engine would run an email service, that many dismissed it as an April Fool’s Joke. Now it’s the biggest (?) email provider in the world. Sometimes jokes aren’t funny…
